I understand that Reiki is a simple, gentle, hands-on energy technique that is used for stress reduction and relaxation. I understand that Reiki practitioners do not diagnose conditions nor do they prescribe or perform medical treatment, prescribe substances, nor interfere with the treatment of a licensed medical professional. I understand that Reiki does not take the place of medical care. It is recommended that I see a licensed physician or licensed health care professional for any physical or psychological ailment I may have. I understand that Reiki can complement any medical or psychological care I may be receiving. I also understand that the body has the ability to heal itself and to do so, complete relaxation is often beneficial. I acknowledge that long term imbalances in the body sometimes require multiple sessions in order to facilitate the level of relaxation needed by the body to heal itself.

Privacy Notice:
No information about any client will be discussed or shared with any third party without written consent of the client or parent/guardian if the client is under 18.

Cancellation Policy:
To ensure the highest level of service for all our clients, we have the following cancellation policy in place: If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please do so at least 24 hours in advance to receive a full refund. Cancellations made more than 6 hours but less than 24 hours prior to the appointment time will result in a charge of 50% of the service fee. For cancellations made 6 hours or less before the appointment, the full payment will be charged. Thank you for understanding and respecting our policy, which allows us to manage our schedule and provide the best care to everyone.

Emergencies & Illness:
We understand that emergencies arise and illnesses do not announce their plans. If you have a fever, a known infection, or have unexpected vomiting or diarrhea within 24 hours prior to your appointment, we ask that you cancel your session. Inclement weather may also result in the need for late cancellation. We will do our best to give advance notice if we are closing or need to cancel due to bad weather and we ask that you do the same. Please notify us as soon as possible by phone if you need to cancel due to any of these issues. We do our best to accommodate the need to change your appointment and late cancellation charges due to emergencies, injuries, or inclement weather will generally not apply but may be enforced if this becomes a chronic problem.

Arrival Times:
We request that you arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment time to allow time to fill out any required paperwork as well as answer any intake questions I have prior to your appointment. However, we are unable to guarantee the entire session if you are not on time. Appointment times are reserved for each client, so oftentimes we cannot extend that reserved time without infringing on another client’s session. If arriving late, your session will end at the scheduled time. Full service fees will be charged even when sessions are shortened due to late arrival. In return, I will do our best to be on time and if we are unable to do so we will extend your session to make up for our late start, or it will be given as a credit for a future session.

Professional Conduct and Session Guidelines:
Energy Healing is for relaxation and therapeutic purposes only. There is absolutely no sexual component to your treatment whatsoever. Any insinuation, joke, gesture, or request otherwise will result in ending the session immediately. You will be charged the full service fee regardless of the length of your session. Depending on the behavior exhibited, we may also file a report with the local authorities if necessary. Treat your therapist with respect and dignity and you will be treated the same in return.

Participants in Reiki Shores' services should be aware that while energy healing and massage therapy are generally safe, they may induce physical sensations, emotional release, or light-headedness. It is crucial to communicate any physical discomfort, existing injuries, or health conditions to our practitioners before undergoing any treatments.

You acknowledge that all activities during sessions are voluntary and agree to participate despite the potential risks involved. By proceeding with services from Reiki Shores, you waive, release, and discharge Reiki Shores, its staff, and practitioners from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from negligence or fault, for any personal injury, adverse reactions, emotional distress, death, or property damage that may occur as a result of your participation in our services.
